I am not going to compare The Hi End to any other band because that doesn't tell the whole story. All you need to know is this is serious Kick Ass Rock & Roll.

"Class Kicks is the sort of thing you don't hear very often these days: a pure hard rocking record stacked with mighty riffs and killer songs. You've got that perfect blend of thundering rhythm guitar and red-hot lead work, a rhythm section that knows how to drive a beat, and a lead singer with legit rock star pipes and a swagger to match." - Faster And Louder
"The Hi End present their own twist of the Hi-energy rock’n’roll genre, somewhere between the MC5 and Blue Cheer. It’s hard and it’s heavy but it never lacks the kind of melodies that will stick in your head from the first time you hear them." - Fear And Loathing Zine
"Occasionally a band comes along – almost out of nowhere – that release something so good you can’t believe it. This is that record. “Class Kicks” just graduated bitches. Now, school’s out. Forever." - Maximum Volume Music
"The Hi-End have released an excellent album based in classic rock n roll values with some cool additives that make this highly recommended." - RPM Online
"Definitely a few hints of the Stooges (James Williamson era) the MC5 and the New York Dolls, although also unafraid to add elements of early AC/DC and Kiss." - Fear And Loathing
"This is down 'n' dirty rock 'n' roll." - Jersey Beat
(The Way She Moves Me) "This song, as the kids say, is a banger." - Lord Rutledge
"You can tell these guys love everything from The Stooges to AC/DC to Chuck Berry. Their m.o. is high energy rock and roll with hooks."
- Faster And Louder
"A nice mix between snotty punk, new wave rock and powerpop. It all comes together quite nicely. Near perfect company in my ears." - WoNo Blog
"Distinctive vocals by Johnny Carlevale with a propulsive band performance." - Boston Groupie News
"They are rock’n’roll totally, through and true. They have the energy and the excitement, the frustration and anger and the wildness of life. They are the middle finger that Johnny Cash gave in that famous picture of him." - Thrash N' Bang
Without further ado, get greased back, amped up, guitars and fists flying high, a dose of glam a strut of punk, slick guitar licks and a hook that's straight outta the Bowery taking a left into the Motor City and back to their hometown of Boston. The Hi-End
The Hi-End are a five piece, high octane, 100 Proof Rock & Roll band out of Boston. Singer Johnny Carlevale’s lyrics embody a heartfelt aesthetic touching on topics of scene apathy, inner strength, dangerous women and good times. Musically the band’s sound is a gritty cross between Brit pub-rock, proto punk, 70's glam, 60’s soul and a straight up rocking stomp. Raised on the bedrock of the Motor City meeting the Bowery with a glimmer of the Sunset Strip and UK Punk and angst in their rearview. Plenty of punk, garage, glam, hooks, howling dual guitars, a pulsating rhythm section, and a whole lotta wallop is what we got here.
Sit back, enjoy the ride, line up the shots and let the good times roll.
See you at the bar.

Rum Bar Records is turning into one of the absolute best labels for real rock and roll these days, if you haven't gotten hip to that trip. It's the boss sound from the Boss-town." - Bill Kelly, Bill Kelly's Teenage Wasteland WFMU
