about

"One More Drink wasn't just the Cheetahs' first proper album in 20 years. It's also one of the band's very best albums — probably the most essential thing the Cheetahs have put out since the release of Overdrive in 1997. In my book it's the one release that's most representative of what The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs are all about: combining the primordial ooze punk style the band is best known for with elements of power pop and classic hard rock/metal. Lots of bands claim to transcend genre, but the Cheetahs walk the walk on this release." - Faster And Louder

"The world is a better place with bands like the Streetwalkin’ Cheetahs in it releasing records and making a worthwhile noise." - Dom Daley

"Altogether, One More Drink is a perfect blend of punk rock, powerful pop, and kick-ass rock and roll. There's something on this album for everyone. The title track is my favorite song ever from The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs. It features a guest appearance from Dramarama's John Easdale, one of the greatest living songwriters in American rock and roll. It manages to be a little reminiscent of Dramarama's "Last Cigarette" without being a copy. And honestly, that same level of songwriting is sustained all throughout the album. There are bona fide hits all over the place. If you've never heard The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs before, One More Drink would be a fine place to start." - Lord Rutledge

"The music is as old-fashioned punkrock as it is good. It is that the voices betray their age, the playing is so forceful and energetic that it belies the musician's age by a decade or three and a half. How many more good songs can be written using these basic rock and roll chords?, I often muse. Loads it seems, as The Streetwalkin' Cheetahs have a whole album filled with them. Yes, you'll have heard it all before but who cares when it's this good? With Frank Meyer the band has a great singer, who really leads the band as a driving force. The surprise sax solos of Geoff Yeaton are a huge surprise, as it isn't the kind of instrument to expect in a band like this. He matches the guitar riffs with ease." - WoNo Blog

"OH MY!!!! Last year's double disc covers comp certainly whetted the appetite for new Cheetahs' tunes, and this tune holds its own against every classic from that set!" - Scott Hudson, The Ledge

"Streetwalkin' Cheetahs rock and simply know what a good rock song takes to rock. The obvious fun of playing this music, like they used to make them over thirty years ago, is simply added to the quality This band does not need a potential sympathy factor because of its comeback, it deserves it on the basis of the way Bad Vacation rocks. Despite or because of the inspiration of being on holiday with the "saddest girl in town", Bad Vacation totally jumps out of my speakers. The elementary chord progression has been played like this since 'Wild Thing' in The Troggs's version, add some variation, melody, a dirty lead guitar and harmony oohs and aahs and a great rock song is born. Streetwalkin' Cheetahs deliver and end it all with a great sax solo. How many (garage) rock bands do you know doing that?" - WoNo Blog

"Yes, please, I'd like one all right. Men of a certain rock (once again) and how! One More Drink is a punkrock single without overdoing it. The melody is great and the guitar lines all worked out in a nice, mature way. Just like the vocal harmonies and the dynamics are. In the video all take turns at taking a swig of something. Well deserved at that. One More Drink has a truckload of energy the band shares with the whole world. Jumping up and down is simple mandatory. Another one, please, sir." - WoNo Blog

Los Angeles garage punk vigilantes The Streetwalkin’ Cheetahs return with their first album of all original material in nearly 20 years, 'One More Drink'. Deluxe Edition with brand new bonus track and new package design!!

Led by original Cheetahs Frank Meyer on lead vocals/guitar, Dino Everett on bass and Mike Sessa on drums, the modern lineup is augmented by Bruce Duff on guitar and Geoff Yeaton on sax. Paying homage to their roots, the self-produced album features guest turns from Dramarama frontman John Easdale, Adolescents founding guitarist Rikk Agnew and Screamers/45 Grave keyboardist Paul Roessler. One More Drink delivers a stunning mix of punk rock energy, power-pop hooks and chugging riffa-rama-lama. It refuses to bow to any one genre and that doesn’t dissipate its impact. To be blunt, “comeback”: albums are not supposed to sound this good.
