Dedicated to all you Underground Teenagers.

Moving to Boston in 2003 from Astoria Queens, the first time and only time ever moving away from my home I found myself living around the corner from the Abbey Lounge. A place that felt like home, looked like home, and became my second home as it had already been that for many other like minded fans and musicians of punk, glam and garage rock n' roll. It was Coney Island High and The Continental wrapped up into your local, yet favorite dive bar where you knew everyone and were always welcome plus any night of the week you were bound to hear and see kick ass bands. I felt the need to pick up a geetar again and so I did, spent an hour or two re-learning how to play songs I wrote plus a few covers, and kindly asked Steev "Twisted Rico" Ricardo to book me on one of his weekly Twisted Tuesday acoustic shows about a week or two later. The Punk Rock Balladeer came to be, and off key, out of tune, or a few beers in, I had a shit load of fun playing these old songs, telling stories and reminiscing about the friends and bandmates I used to make this music with. These tunes were recorded during one take in 2005 by Joey Zehr (of the Click Five) along with his bandmate Ethan Mentor live from Imrie House. Joey and Ethan provided the inspiration, motivation, background vocals, and handclaps, I provided the beers, and fun was had. I hope you enjoy listening to this brief moment in time as much as I do, Cheers!!
