Quarantine-Age Kicks "the nice price"

by Muck and the Mires

Lesley 02:36

"The best antidote to quarantining noses is to put on a Muck & The Mires record." - Ruta 66

"A bright and breezy collection that touches the bases of garage punk, rockabilly and even the heady days of Merseybeat and Sixties British power pop." - Uber Rock

"Muck and the Mires are unsurpassed when it comes to infusing garage rock with the ageless melodies and feelgood spirit of '60s pop and soul music." - Faster And Louder

"This selection is quite possibly the best way for you to discover and enjoy the band but if you want some kind of indication of what sounds you’ll be hearing, consider the Flaming Groovies beefed up by the Count Bishops, perhaps?" - Fear And Loathing

"Hell yeah’ ‘Quarantinarama’ just got relief!" - Boris Boden, The Secret Weapon Radio Show

As we enter another week of Social Distancing, Rum Bar Records would like to brighten your home with a brand new compilation CD by Boston veteran garage rockers Muck and the Mires. Instead of touring the planet, the band has instead, Like the rest of us,found themselves deep in quarantine.

“Quarantine-age Kicks” features 9 remastered deep cuts from several of the band’s out-of-print releases.

Opening the collection is the appropriately titled “This Town Makes Me Feel So Lonely”, just named the “Song that should be HUGE” by SIRIUS XM’s Speedie John on Little Steven’s Underground Garage show.

There’s the Brille Building influenced “Lesley” (yup...that Lesley...Lesley Gore), some Merseybeat, Garage Punk, and the final two tracks ever produced by legendary Runaways producer Kim Fowley.

So whether you are social distancing, self-Isolating, locking down, please stay healthy and we hope this CD will help pass the time until we can all see each other at our favorite music venues again.
