"Killer Stonesy Los Angeles band featuring terrific vocals from Gabriel Johns and the legend Loren Molinare from The Dogs and Little Ceasar on guitar." - Frank Meyer
"The Slamdinistas always have the right of way when you're in the mood for some tunes to get your engine started. This band just oozes British invasion DNA and "Little Troublemaker" is just one great example!" - Rock Never Rusts
"No one ever got hurt from some dirty, sleazy rock and roll and Slamdinistas delivers an extra dose from the streets of southern California." - WoNo Blog
"Slamdinistas are from Los Angeles and delve into the kind of loud, no nonsense, dirty rock’n’roll that should be the soundtrack for every bar or dive that you frequent. Think of bands like the Heavy Metal Kids or the Pink Fairies and you won’t be far off the mark, but their sound is also not so far removed from the likes of the Heartbreakers or (early) Dr Feelgood as well.: - Fear And Loathing
"L.A.’s Slamdinistas put a relatively unknown singer/songwriter (Gabriel Johns) in the company of rock & roll veterans, in this case guitarist/co-writer Loren Molinare from the Dogs, Little Caesar and the current lineup of the Cruzados, guitarist Mike Gavigan from the Blessings, bassist Paul Ill from too many acts to count, and drummer Brian Irving from Glitter Trash, Pat Todd & the Rank Outsiders and Gilby Clarke’s band. While the musicians create a backdrop of melodic, country- and blues-inflected grit-rock, Johns comes off like a survivor of a hard life, and his tunes sound like declarations of the joys of coming out the other side of something other than paradise. If only most so-called classic rock sounded like this, the airwaves would be a much less irritating place." - Michael "Denim" Toland, Big Takeover Magazine
"This is just straight up great 90's style Rock & Roll. I heard The Replacements, Beat Angels and yes even hints of the Gin Blossoms in these 9 songs. If you miss the days when you could actually hear great NEW music on the radio this band are for you. And it's escaping me right now but I know their guitar player Loren Molinare was in a certain band I used to LOVE! This was the pleasant surprise I needed today and Thank You as always Rum Bar Records for always having the right prescription I need. LISTEN! ENJOY!" - The Switchblade New Wave
"It looks like the latest capture by Rum Bar Records is the Slamdinistas from LA. Their early 70s rock is right in the pocket for Rum Bar." - Paul Blowfish
"If you miss good old fashion, no bullshit, 100 percent rock and roll than let me introduce you to the Slamdinistas." - US Rocker
"Shoot for the Stars by the Slamdinistas has become one of our go to albums to listen to. It’s just so appealing. The group plays an early 70s rock style and they seem to capture a certain something in almost every song. There’s no flash, just solid low key arrangements that click. Our favorite songs are “Brand New Day”, “Time Flies By”, “Cut Me Some Slack”, “There You Go Again”, “Boy/Girl”, “We Say Goodbye” and “Little Trouble Maker”. That’s 7 out of 9 cuts on the album. This California band was picked up by Rum Bar. Lou Mansdorf must be having a ball picking out groups and albums like this and making them available. Has anyone else ever done anything quite like this at what is basically a local level?" - Boston Groupie News
"Playing music that has gone out of fashion decades ago, they fly on the sparks they create when playing Cut Me Some Slack. If The Rolling Stones had come up with the song this year on that new album that is announced now for over a decade, the world, of a certain age, would have wailed and howled. So better go for the next best thing, folks. With Mike Gavigan this band has a great slide guitarist who is making Cut Me Some Slack even dirtier than it already is. With singer Gabriel Johns the gravelly side of being a sleaze and roll band is taken care of. The three remaining members lay the foundation to rock out on. Yes, you will have heard it all before, but believe me, this is great fun. Give it a chance." - WoNo Blog
This is the real deal Orange County, Sunset Strip, City of Angels, raw in-your-face street rock & roll. Slamdinistas songs get instant radio respect. Influenced on a heavy diet of 70’s English Pub Rock, Punk & Classic Rock, the British scene, a la Stones & Faces, recalling the Glory Days of Rock + Roll. Their studio chemistry worked so well it is as if the band had several tours behind them. The sound born on those fateful sessions brings you Slamdinistas debut long player Shoot For The Stars.

Experience the sights and sounds of the Melbourne suburbs, the music of those in love and out of love and those who don’t mind being alone. Great songwriting that has clever lyrics and guitars that provide the right energy for the songs.. This could be their best album. Stop reading this and buy the album. Recommended for those who like Mod, rocknroll and Australian garage rock /power pop. Andy Shelton

Wow! A time machine back to 1980 with killer pop hooks and lyrics about girls and relationships and all that stuff that power pop is about. I bought the album and The Reflectors sent me an additional CD, that I guess is the first record, along with a sticker and button. Thanks guys! Amazing Power Pop! philipspence
