Rick Barton is an American DIY underground songwriter with a treasure trove of heartfelt, gut wrenching material. In addition to his songwriting talents he has also started several iconic Boston bands including The Outlets, Dropkick Murphys, Everybody Out & his most recent band, formed with his son Stephen, Continental. He’s also produced albums and written songs with The Street Dogs and FM359.

Now Barton launches out under his own moniker with the help of Dave Westner on Drums, Paul Yu on lead guitar and Sam Gehrke on bass. Barton’s career which began in 1979 (Outlets) has now spanned 6 decades. He wears his life experience on his sleeve and combined with his vast musical experience he has shaped a brand new kind of sound! Soulful, stripped down and teeming with relatable lyrics that will bring you to tears at moments and then have you chuckling over a line you’ve experienced in your life. Enjoy!

It has been a long time coming, but the ol' troubadour is finally releasing his debut and sophomore solo albums, "Nowhere Man" and "Comin' Home" pouring on tap March 2024 Rum Bar Records outta Boston MA.
