Knyvet PR release: knyvet.substack.com/p/diablogato-cruise-across-a-lynchian

"Boston + Rockabilly = Amazing?!?! Who’da thunk that? Well, obviously Diablogato did with their robust Rawk that astounds by aurally awarding your earholes with the sounds you’re treating it to! Did that make sense? Well, neither does David Lynch to many which is quite the coincidence as Diablogato has chosen that particular auteur to pay tribute to in their latest video for the aptly titled “Lost Highway”! It also helps that both the song and video kick ass as well making that repeated watch or two or forty easy to do." - Rock And Roll Fables

"Diablogato from Boston have an interesting approach to rock & roll where it’s not completely rockabilly, it’s not totally punk, but it’s somewhere in between with hints of electric blues and an abundance of amplification. No matter how you classify it, the quartet of vocalist & guitarist Andrew Indingaro, guitarist Chuck MacSteven, bassist Johnny Custom and drummer Jesse Mayer possess a sound that’s as wide-ranging as it is cohesive. Their songs also bring forth a variety of narratives, with their latest single “Lost Highway”, taking an introspective look at inner demons and personal temptations." - Culture Beat

"This is a heavy version of classic rock and roll and blues, sounding both familiar and completely fresh. As with Diablogato's best songs, "Lost Highway" comes at you full speed without relenting. Any quiet moment is filled with an ominous sense of dread, and it's almost a relief when the volume cranks back up." - If It's Too Loud

"For the song, a gritty, bluesy extension of the Boston Brigade's worn-out rock 'n' roll style, it's guitarist Chuck MacSteven's opening guitar chords, hanging loosely like a hypnotic spell primed for the entrance; For the video, directed by Shawn Reilly, it's a grainy, unstable stretch of nighttime highway, as the title floats ominously across the screen in a blue neon outline." - Pipilo Pop

"It’s about the blurred lines between reality and hallucinations, guilt, desire, and the nature of identity. We are inviting the listeners into our world, to enjoy the experience of traveling with us, to change perspective, and to welcome those who are on the same lost highway.” – Diablogato vocalist and guitarist Drew Indingaro.

In the video, director Shawn Reilly draws influence and reference points to “Twin Peaks,” “Blue Velvet,” and naturally, “Lost Highway.” Expect more new music from Diablogato as the year unfolds.

“Lost Highway” is another a bluesy, gritty extension of the Boston brigade’s weathered brand of hypnotic rock and roll, blending a distinctive sound of punk, classic rock, and Southern blues. In the video, directed by Shawn Reilly, influence and reference points are drawn to iconic TV mystery drama Twin Peaks, cult classic neo-noir film Blue Velvet, and naturally, the surrealist psychological thriller Lost Highway.

The video depicts a mash-up of certain scenes, styles, and characters from the Lynch universe, stirred in a smoky cocktail that’s distinctly Diablogato. Check out the track and video below, and please keep it in mind for any editorial coverage around its release. Diablogato are available for interviews, live sessions, appearances, and whatever else.
