My Band On Her T-Shirt

by Stop Calling Me Frank

"Stop Calling Me Frank were one of many Boston bands that were fans of and friends with Justine Covault. Their latest single is a tribute to their late friend. "My Band On Her T-Shirt" is an upbeat and joyous garage rock song, which is perfect for any tribute to Justine. There is no sense of sadness with "My Band On Her T-Shirt." Instead, the song is a celebration of Justine and what she meant to the scene. It's a catchy and absolutely fun track heavy with horns, and is a perfect tribute." - If It's Too Loud

"There's another tribute to Justine Covault: Stop Calling Me Frank has a new song titled “My Band On Her T-shirt.” It’s about seeing Justine wearing a SCMF t-shirt at a show ... and the photo on the digital single is the proof. The song written by sax player Terry O’Malley transmits the joy band members have when some is wearing their band shirt. “Retro boots, patterned tights/ And a mini skirt/ But she has my band on her t-shirt." The song has a fifties feel. It has that SCMF joyful and life loving attitude that marks the group." - Boston Groupie News

"Combining a late 70s jangle and an even older sounding round of “oh-oh”s presented as an incessant vocal hook, ‘My Band On Her T-Shirt’ is a genuine retro banger from Stop Calling Me Frank. With a sharp rhythm guitar joined by a rousing sax, this single oozes a blend of old style rock ‘n’ roll and power pop that’s hard to resist." - Real Gone

Stop Calling Me Frank Pays Tribute to Late Friend Justine Covault with New Single "My Band on Her T-Shirt"

Stop Calling Me Frank has a new song inspired by, and dedicated to, Justine Covault. Justine was not only a terrific song-writer, bass player, vocalist, guitar player, and music impresario, she was a great friend.

Justine came to a lot of our shows wearing her customized Stop Calling Me Frank t-shirt, with the collar cut off. Sometimes she would wear that shirt at her own shows! She was an enthusiastic supporter, and promoter, of many bands, and it was a great privilege that we were one of her favorites.

She was one of our favorites, too.

There’s this girl at all the shows
She a girl I’d like to know
I am so impressed
How she’s always dressed
Retro boots, patterned tights
And a mi-ni skirt
But she has my band on her t-shirt
She looks great with what she’s got
I heard your girlfriend say she’s hot
You might get caught staring
At the outfit that she’s wearing
Retro boots, patterned tights
And a mi-ni skirt
But she has my band on her t-shirt
Of all the bands she could have chosen
Our shirt is the one she goes in
The way she looks its like she knew
She rocks our logo better than we do
She’s got such great style
Yet her best feature is her smile
She always looks so nice
You can’t help but look at her twice
Retro boots, patterned tights
And a mi-ni skirt
But she has my band on her t-shirt
