"“Cool as can be,” I raved about the Catch Me EP with which The Mochines marked their return in 2022. Those four songs have now been brought together with seven worthy others on the album Modern Information. Curt Florczak (vocals, guitar), Ross Kersten (vocals, guitar), Hans Molnar (bass) and Sean Antillon (drums) make the three covers – Catch Me (Jetz), Private Affair (The Saints) and This is Rock and Roll (The Kids) – their own in such a way that they fit seamlessly between the original tunes. What I noted at the time still applies to this extended release: “Energetic and catchy, dirty and gritty, somewhere on the cutting edge of garage rock, punk and power pop, very infectious.”" - Add To Want List
"Boston power poppers The Mochines are back...and they’re wielding the riffs like they’re on stage at CBGB’s in 1979. ‘Ran Out of Luck’ combines the energies of Dictators with the hook laden drive of The Real Kids, but serves up familiar sounds with a typical Mochines crunch. The single has a massive guitar sound which comes through in unstoppable waves, whether working a hard rhythm, or sharing a careening lead break, but there’s so much more great stuff driving these three minutes. The lead vocal is raw, but manages to share that almost perfect proto-punk anger, and the bass playing has a muscular quality that really gives this track a very welcome live feel. It’s one of those tracks that, once you’ve heard the shout-along chorus a few times, has all the qualities of a genre classic." - Real Gone
"We know about The Mochines because Curt Florczak plays guitar in the band. Rum Bar Records is releasing their new album Modern Information. There are three cuts on Bandcamp now. They all rock like crazy! We like “Ran Out of Luck”. Groups could use this song to see how to give a song momentum. This races to the very end." - Boston Groupie News
The Guitar Doctors are in. Your prescription has been filled for an absolute corker of bad ass Rock & Roll with guts, glitter, attitude and swing. The Mochines are the brainchild of Ross Kersten & Curt Florczak. An International high energy swaggering rock n' roll band featuring former members of LaDonnas, The Hi-End, and B Movie Rats.
