The Hi End returns with their second album Nothing to Hide, and continues to show the virtues of three chords, riffs derived from Chuck Berry, and the energy of a pot of coffee and a loud amp. Guitarist Bruno Giordano cranks out the riffola like he was born to it, bassist Anthony Giordano and drummer Scott Sugarman keep the rhythms a-hoppin’, and vocalist Johnny Carlevale shakes his fist, bares his soul, and cops an attitude with easy aplomb. If anything, the Hi End showcases even more meat ‘n’ potatoes rock & roll than the Cornfeds or the Downhauls on songs like “Actions Speak Louder,” “Livin’ in a Bad Dream,” and a breathless cover of Cock Sparrer’s “I Need a Witness.” Not a bad thing when it’s done with this much verve, skill, and love." - Michael "Denim" Toland, Big Takeover Magazine
"The Hi End are killer!!! Love this band & so happy to have new album." - loyal fan and estimable customer, Scott Lyons
"It’s that line up of unrelenting rocking that makes the album. All in a row you feel like you’re getting hammered. Try to keep up with these guys." - Boston Groupie News
"The Hi-End deliver a Hi-Octane blast of muscular garage rock that sizzles on the platter! You need proof, here 'tis." - Rock Never Rusts
"Sometimes you can just tell a garage rock band is from Boston. I can't explain it, but The Hi-End are definitely a Boston garage rock band. Their new single, "Where Did You Sleep Last Night," is filled with fuzzed out guitars, punk rock attitude, and the kind of power pop that hearkens back to the 1970's. This is just pure garage rock 'n' roll that is aiming for bigger things. It's music without pretention and is just rock for the sake of rock. This is the kind of song you're going to want to crank up and forget about all your troubles for three minutes." - If It's Too Loud
"Boston-based rambunctious rock ’n’ roll with a tip of the hat to the Stones and Humble Pie, albeit with seriously ramped-up intensity. Bruno Giordano’s guitar lines snarl and spit out economical, Angus-worthy homages to the guitar heroes of the classic rock age. An album’s worth of potential hit singles in a parallel, cooler universe." - Guitar World
The Hi-End's sophomore full length release 'Nothing To Hide' continues the Boston mainstays tradition and religion of some good old fashioned rock n' roll kicked up a few notches.

A contender for best pop-rock album of 2019.
Will Pitchfork and hipsters of their ilk ever take notice of The Rallies and the many artists who do not benefit from the hype that they create around far less talented musicians? POPPHIL
