Every time I hear a new song Martin Newell writes I think it's the best song I've ever heard. One of the great pop writers of all time. Dolly Birds isn't new ground for Martin, but who cares? It's another album of consistently great tunes. Not a bad track on here and some that now rank among my favorites. You can't really go wrong with any of his albums but this one is just great front to back.

Wow! A time machine back to 1980 with killer pop hooks and lyrics about girls and relationships and all that stuff that power pop is about.
